What are Naked Stainless Steel Cable Ties best used for?

Naked (uncoated) stainless steel ties are ideal for permanent, heavy-duty fastening in environments with extreme temperatures (from -60°C to 150°C) and where maximum tensile strength and corrosion resistance are critical, such as in chemical plants, high-heat areas, or marine structures.

What's the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel for naked ties?

Type 304 offers excellent general corrosion resistance. Type 316 contains molybdenum, providing superior resistance to chlorides (like saltwater) and harsh chemicals, making it the preferred choice for highly corrosive environments.

Can I install stainless steel cable ties without a tool?

While possible for smaller sizes by hand, using a dedicated Stainless Steel Cable Tie Tool is strongly recommended for achieving proper, consistent tension and a clean cut, ensuring a vibration-proof and secure installation.

Are these ties reusable?

Standard naked stainless steel ties with ball-lock or barb-lock mechanisms are designed for permanent, one-time use. For reusable applications, please refer to our Releasable Type models.

How do I choose the right length and tensile strength?

Select a length that allows the tail to fully engage the lock head with some excess. Tensile strength requirements depend on the bundle weight and application stress; our product specs list minimum loop tensile strength (e.g., 1200N) to guide your selection for heavy loads.
At ETL, we deliver end-to-end expert support alongside custom cable tie solutions — including material upgrades, surface treatments, and brand customization.
