Why should I choose PVC-coated stainless steel ties?

Choose PVC-coated ties to prevent galvanic corrosion when contacting dissimilar metals, to protect sensitive surfaces from scratches, for electrical insulation, and for color-coding (available in multiple colors) in outdoor, marine, or chemical applications.

Is the PVC coating durable in outdoor conditions?

Yes, our PVC coating is formulated for excellent UV resistance, moisture resistance, and durability against weathering, making these ties suitable for long-term outdoor and marine use.

Can the PVC coating withstand high temperatures?

The PVC coating has a typical operating range of -40°C to 85°C. For higher temperature applications above 85°C, our uncoated (naked) stainless steel ties are recommended.

Do PVC-coated ties have the same strength as uncoated ones?

Yes, the core is the same high-tensile stainless steel. The PVC coating adds a protective layer without significantly reducing the overall mechanical strength and locking security.

How are the colors on PVC-coated ties applied?

The color is integrated throughout the PVC jacket during the coating process, ensuring it won't peel or fade easily, providing permanent identification.
At ETL, we deliver end-to-end expert support alongside custom cable tie solutions — including material upgrades, surface treatments, and brand customization.
